NEW LCCC Gives Back! Projects
We will be crocheting plastic bags into 6’x3’ mats for the homeless in Licking County. On the third Friday of the month from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m., we will have a little gathering of friends to share in the assembly of these critically needed mats.
These mats are made of ordinary, plastic grocery bags. Even if you don’t crochet, we have a task for you! The bags need to be folded, cut into strips and tied in a strand before they can be used as “yarn” for crocheting. Please share your “extra” BIG Size Q crochet hooks as we will need large ones to make the mats.
The Crochet Club will be crocheting lap blankets for our local VFW. Please share extra yarn to help the LCCC Gives Back! Program help local veterans in need. We have the specifications for the size at the LCCC.
