On this Pathfinders walk we will explore the beautiful Denison Bio Reserve which is a 350-acre site used for student education and research.
This walk is a 2.2-mile, moderately-trafficked loop trail located near Granville that includes the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate.
The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Hiking trails are open to the public and are suitable for walking, running and mountain biking.
The reserve is located on the east side of SR 661 and on the north end of the Village of Granville.
The street address is 1760 North St. NW, Granville.
A brown bag lunch will be served after the walk.

Announcing Our New Sewing Studio!
The LCCC is looking for a few friends to volunteer their time in our new Sewing Studio.
This unique, one-of-a-kind group will be working on member-only mending projects and odds-and-ends sewing requests.
Skilled sewers are encouraged as well as beginners who wish to learn a new activity are encouraged to join this new group.
The LCCC Studio hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This new LCCC Music Program is all about spending time with like-minded friends, singing, and perhaps participating in a new instrumental experience.
The only requirement is that you show up ready to sing and have FUN doing it!.
A new possible feature of this program is the opportunity to take instrument lessons. In order to help develop an instrument program for first-time music makers and those with experience, please take a few minutes and answer the following questionnaire.

Virtual Yoga is similar to the Yoga Classes that Carolyn has taught at the LCCC since October 2019.
Classes are moderate intensity but modifications for beginners and those who haven't kept in shape will be offered. Flexibility, strength, balance, calming breath and relaxation will be incorporated in each class.
As a skilled yogi, Carolyn brings over 30 years of experience to the LCCC. Please invite a friend and get fit with our other of yoga-goers!
Participants will need a yoga mat and one or two yoga blocks. A stretchy scarf or crew sock will work if a yoga strap is not available.
We hope to see you on your mat!

The Fall-Proof Balance and Mobility Program uses a multidimensional approach to improve balance and promotes functional independence. Some of the multidimensional categories are:
• Improving control of your center of gravity
• Improving sensory reception skills and learning how they apply to balance
• Improving postural control and how it applies to balance
• Improving flexible and adaptable gait (walking) pattern
• Increasing upper and lower body strengthening, flexibility, and endurance
This class is free of charge.

Tai Chi is slow and gentle while focusing on the whole body while improving — muscle strength, flexibility, balance, and mindfulness.

Supportive Services:
This program provides assistance to seniors in order to maintain their independence and remain safely in their own homes. This includes assistance with benefits, HEAP, Medicaid/Medicare, housing assistance, medical advocacy, and linking seniors to resources.
Money Management:
The Money Management Service assists seniors who are having difficulty managing their daily finances by providing assistance with budgeting, bill payment, managing financial assets, and preparing for long term needs.
Transportation:
Our Transportation service allows seniors and Veterans in Licking County to get non-emergency medical appointments anywhere in the state of Ohio.
Payee Services:
This program provides individualized financial management to those who are unable to manage their own financial affairs.

No one loves chores, but at the Licking County Aging Program it’s their job to help local seniors with their chores.
While it is too cold to go outside, LCAP would love to help you with any indoor tasks that need some attention.
Some everyday jobs LCAP offers for free to local Licking County 60+ seniors include:
1. Clean behind appliances, cabinets, or wash walls.
2. Clean dryer vents to prevent fire hazard.
3. Replace furnace filters (client must provide filter)
4. Install smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors (client must provide detectors)
5. Wash inside windows
6. Carpet cleaning (limit to 3-rooms)
To be eligible to receive help with your chores, individuals need to be a Licking County resident over the age of 60, unable to perform handyman tasks, and have no other visible resource persons willing to provide needed service.
